While the ban on evictions in Alaska was lifted on June 30, 2020, the federal CARES Act moratorium makes it so that you cannot face eviction until at least July 25, 2020.

The Alaska Housing Finance Corporation is offering financial assistance to eligible renters. In addition, the legislature passed a law prohibiting evictions for certain renters through June 30, 2020.

While some cities may have rent relief programs during the pandemic (check with the housing agency in Pilot Station, or nearby}, there is currently not a statewide, pandemic-specific program in Alaska. However, the governor has issued an order prohibiting evictions for certain renters, and you may be eligible for public assistance to help with rent payments.
