You cannot currently be evicted in Washington. If you are unable to pay your rent for COVID-19-related reasons, contact your landlord to try and make arrangements. The District of Columbia Department of Housing and Community Development may also be able to direct you toward other resources for help with rent payments.

For more information, locate your Washington, DC area Housing Authority on the District of Columbia HUD website.
