Will I get a break on my rent payments if I lose my job in Idaho?

Several cities and counties have enacted moratoriums on eviction in public housing, but evictions are still proceeding in the state. The Idaho Housing Finance Corporation may aslo be able to offer rental assistance.

Although there is no statewide renter assistance program in place to address tenants affected by the coronavirus in Idaho, several cities and counties have enacted moratoriums on eviction in public housing, and the state's judiciary has effectively halted eviction proceedings. Check with a housing office in Twin Falls or your county seat for more information. Communicating with your landlord to come to terms over financial difficulties due to COVID-19 is a good place to start, though.
