The governor ordered a moratorium on evictions in Mississippi, originally set to expire May 11, 2020, if not extended, but noted that tenants are still obligated to pay rent. If you are unable to do so, contact your landlord and attempt to reach an arrangement that is acceptable to both sides. A housing office that serves Tupelo or your county seat may also be able to point you toward some resources.

For more information, locate your Tupelo, MS area Housing Authority on the Mississippi HUD website.
