No. The Connecticut governor announced a moratorium on evictions and a mandatory 60-day grace period for late payment, for coronavirus-related reasons, of rent due in April, May or June. In addition, a tenant can choose to apply any amount of a security deposit that exceeds one month's rent toward payment of April, May or June, 2020 rent. Work with your landlord to request a late rent payment or to apply a portion of your deposit toward rent. Contact the housing office in Redding or another nearby community if you need additional help.
