Port Huron Public Library

The St. Clair County Library is a pioneer among libraries. Its history began in 1917 when the Port Huron Public Library offered the first county library service in the State of Michigan. The current library system serves a population of over 145,000 residents. The library contains more than 285,300 books, nearly 200 magazine subscriptions, and over 22,700 books on tape, books on compact disc, music compact discs, cassettes, and videos. The St. Clair County Library is also a partner with The Library Network (TLN), a library cooperative serving over 70 libraries in Southeastern Michigan
