Porretto Beach

PORRETTO BEACH on Galveston Island, Texas has the most unique history and the Porretto's have always valued the community, the businesses and property uniqueness acquired by hard labor intensive work in how it was acquired. The fact the State of Texas "relinquished all rights and claims" to this property through the Menard Act/Grant signed by Sam Houston is ironic in itself now, that the 'New' General Land Office desires to reclaim it as their own despite the Menard Grant is a part of history and was enacted through legislature. In addition, the property was purchased, mantained, controlled and operated by others prior to the Porretto's who have done so for over 50 years.
