The Odell Public Library is a cultural and educational center for the people of Morrison, where they can find books, magazines, computers, and children's videos for enlightenment and entertainment. The library endeavors to attract new patrons of all ages. By judicious selection of material, the library augments the learning programs of the community and attempts to present all points of view concerning problems and issues of our times.

Odell Public Library opened in 1879 when John Danforth Odell gave a $1000 donation to the Morrison Literature and Scientific Association to start a library. In 1887 Mr Odell purchased the Congregational Church which he gifted to the city for a library building. This building served the community until November 1995 when the new library was completed.
