Legacy Ridge Country Club

2201 Country Club Drive

Home to Legacy Ridge Country Club, Bonham, Texas dates back to 1836 when settled by Bailey Inglish of Kentucky. The original Bois d' Arc, home to Fort Inglish, was later renamed Bonham on February 24, 1844 in honor of James Butler Bonham, who died at the Alamo.

As county seat for Fannin County, the county itself also plays home to the history of Sam Rayburn, a distinguished gentleman who was the speaker of the House of Representatives longer than any person in the history of the United States.

Keeping a small town appeal through the years, Bonham's downtown area looks much as it did years ago with a replica of the original Fort Inglish, Fannin County Museum of History and the Sam Rayburn House and Sam Rayburn Library.
