The City of Florissant Parks and Recreation Department offers a vast array of Parks and Recreation opportunities to the community. The City has twenty parks comprising almost 400 acres with a variety of attractions. Florissant is home to two Recreation Facilities. The James J Eagan Community Center includes a gymnasium for rent and open basketball play, an indoor swimming pool with a variety of programming, a covered outdoor ice rink, a fitness center, a game room, a 600 seat theater, and several meeting rooms available for rent. The John F Kennedy Community Center includes a gymnasium for rent and open basketball play, a game room, a fitness center, a racquetball court, and meeting rooms available for rent. The City of Florissant is also home to two outdoor water parks. Koch Park Family Aquatic Center includes a play structure, two large water slides, two smaller otter slides, lily pads, a lazy river, and plenty of room to swim. Bangert Pool includes a play structure, a large water slide, two smaller slides, two diving boards, and area to swim. Located in Florissant as well, is a beautiful 18 hole Golf Course. This storied course has drawn some of the best golfers in the state, and the City has put in more than $1 million in renovations and improvements. The Parks & Recreation Department is also happy to provide a variety of recreation programs, services, and special events to the community. Florissant Residents enjoy many privileges with their Florissant Resident Card, including access to open gym, the game rooms, the fitness centers, and discounted rates on any rentals, classes, events, and at our pools and ice rink.
