About
The library holds an archive collection of manuscripts, Shaker imprints, photographs, art, and ephemera as well as reference materials about the Shakers. In 1961, the Shaker Central Ministry designated the library as the official repository for records of discontinued Shaker societies. The library is named for Eldress Emma B. King of the Canterbury Shakers, who aided museum founder John S. Williams in assembling the collection.
