Cherokee Run Golf Club is nestled in the rolling hills of Rockdale County and located within the Georgia International Horse Park. A destination golf course, Cherokee Run was designed by the legendary Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay of the Arnold Palmer Design Group and originally opened in 1995.  Since the opening, golfers from all over the world have played our magnificent course.

The rolling, thickly wooded site now known as Cherokee Run was occupied for centuries by Cherokee Indians.  During course construction, Project Architect Harrison Minchew said he found dozens of arrowheads in the Georgia red clay.  "It was like finding shark's teeth on the beach," Minchew explained.  Even today, Cherokee Run provides numerous, unexpected adventures.

Throughout the years, the course has experienced several changes. The latest and most positive is that the course is now owned by the City of Conyers. Cherokee Run and the city of Conyers staff have been working hard to renovate the course and clubhouse to make it the greatest it has ever been.  In the fall of 2010, the city of Conyers assumed operations of Cherokee Run with the intention to make the course "Your Conyers Golf Course."  Operating as a municipal, daily-play facility, the course offers unique experiences for golfers of all levels of play. The clubhouse at Cherokee Run Golf Club features an upscale golf shop, restaurant/banquet and special event facility.

Cherokee Run Golf Club is an 18-hole championship 72 par course with a 143 slope, 7,016 yards and a 75.1 rating.  The design features Mini Verde dwarf bermuda greens, Zoysia fairways and 96 strategically placed bunkers.  Tall pines line most of the fairways and natural granite outcroppings surface dramatically on a number of holes.  It's golf at its purest surrounded by nature at its finest.
