Famous for its world-class trout fishing, Bull Shoals–White River State Park lies along the shores of both Bull Shoals Lake and the White River. The scope of the park can first be experienced from the 15,744-square-foot visitor center set high above the Bull Shoals Dam. Its state-of-the-art visitor exhibit hall and theater share the history of the area and tell the fishing stories from these waters. Venturing down into the park along the White River, visitors are greeted with 113 campsites (63 class AAA, 30 Class B, and 20 tent sites with no hook ups) plus three Rent-An-RV sites.

The riverside marina and store offer boat rentals, bait, tackle, and supplies. Besides being the state’s premier park for trout fishing, the park also offers great hiking and mountain biking. Interpretive programs include campfire-cooking demonstrations, trout fishing workshops, and nature walks.

Camping- The park offers a variety of year-round camping options. For campers who want a primitive experience, there are 20 tent sites at the forest's edge. For those who don't own camping equipment, the park offers one Rent-A-Camp. Which includes use of a platform tent, two cots, camp stove, cooler, and light. The park also offers three Rent-A-RV units. These 31-foot trailers will accommodate eight people. For specific information, contact the park. Campers needing water and electric, hookups will find 82 campsites spread along the White River bank; 34 sites offer sewer hookups. Modern bathhouses and a sanitary trailer dump station are conveniently located for all park visitors. The clear, cold waters of the river provide natural air-conditioned comfort even on August’s warm nights.

Picnicking- A picnic area overlooks the lake. Playgrounds and pavilions are in the picnic area and the campground.

Trout Dock/Store- The trout dock provides up-tothe-minute fishing information, bait, tackle, snacks, ice, souvenirs, and general merchandise, and is a wifi Internet hotspot. You can rent a canoe, kayak, or boat and motor and enjoy the sparkling waters of the White River. Rainbow and brown trout are abundant and until you’ve experienced hooking a lunker you haven’t fished. Join us for an exciting, unique adventure on the White River.

Other Facilities- Hiking trails meander near the lake and climb the wooded hills below the dam. A three-mile mountain bike/hiking trail opened in 2006, and a .5 mile barrier-free trail starts at the visitor center. Group pavilions can be reserved by calling the park and must be reserved before being used (fee required).
