Are children considered high-risk if they become sick with COVID-19?
Recently, a number of children throughout the U.S. have developed Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome (MIS-C) who also tested positive for coronavirus. At this point, the exact cause of the syndrome is uncertain. MIS-C symptoms include: fever, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, neck pain, rash, bloodshot eyes, and feeling very tired.

Studies from the CDC have found that younger children are less likely to get severely ill from complications due to COVID-19. It has been reported that children experience milder symptoms. Regardless, it is best to practice the same precautions with your kids.
