The suspension on evictions in Michigan has been extended until July 15, 2020. The governor is also preparing to launch the Eviction Diversion Program which will provide rental assistance and will help renters create a payment plan that best works for their financial situation.

The eviction moratorium will remain in place in Michigan until June 30, 2020.

While there is an eviction moratorium in place in Michigan, you are still obligated to make your rent payments if you can. If you cannot, contact your landlord and try to work out an arrangement. Local housing authorities in Hulbert or a nearby community may be able to point you toward additional rent assistance resources.
